There are so many Indians in Canada who are skilled workers. It invited applications from Indian laborers with work experience in the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada, IRCC, trade profession. After a special Express Entry lottery was held not so long ago, it expressed its goals to attract talented professionals in the trade profession into Canada. This will be the first draw of this nature since December 2023. The objective of the draw is to attract talent in areas of priority. For the eligible candidates, a total of 1,800 ITAs were issued. This becomes a very good opportunity for the qualified Indians in the trade profession to work in Canada in such circumstances.
You must have a minimum score of 436 in CRS to be eligible for Express Entry lottery. This is a part of the IRCC initiative draw. The Canadian government had announced plans this year to reserve 5% of all invitations to apply to businesses for category-based draws. On July 2, another PNP-only draw by IRCC was held for an NOI issued to 920 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 739.
What are the benefits going to be for Indians?
Now, following Canada’s decision, Indians can make it big there once they achieve certain criterion or get selected by one of the provinces. Express Entry draws, which made their first appearance in 2015, have been presiding over applications for three key programs. This includes the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class, etc. This system considers candidates for the immigration visa on several factors such as age, occupation, work experience, and language ability under the Comprehensive Ranking System. The higher the CRS score is, the more likely it is that a candidate will be issued an ITA.
Express Entry draws can either be general or based on a program/category. The general draw considers all candidates, while program-based draws target specific events like the CEC, FSWP, or FSTP. Category-based draws consider candidates with special qualities or traits whose acquisition into the Canadian workforce is greatly needed. Only the minimum qualifications need to be achieved to gain entry into Express Entry. This includes education, work experience, language proficiency, and the FSW point system.
