PNP draws were held by four provinces this week, namely, Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, and Manitoba. Skilled candidates were invited for permanent residence.
Quebec
Through the separate Provincial Nominee Program, Quebec held a draw on 20 July. 1633 candidates either with a valid job offer outside of the Montreal Metropolitan, a minimum CRS score equivalent or greater to 596 points, or had a level 7 proficiency in French according to the Quebec scale of French proficiency were invited from the Arrima portal (Quebec’s immigration portal).
Ontario
Candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 321 and 374 were issued 95 notifications of interest (NOIs) on July 25, under the French-Speaking Skilled Stream of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.
British Columbia
Across 6 different streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP), two separate draws were held by British Columbia on July 25.
For the BCPNP, Express Entry-aligned PNP streams were referred by the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) Options Streams. These nominations are known as enhanced PNP nominations. To immigrate there, work permit candidates in the federal Express Entry pool are to be nominated by a specific province.
In the first draw, 175 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were delivered which was a general draw, between the below-mentioned streams, with corresponding CRS cut-off scores:
Stream | CRS Cut off |
Skilled Worker Stream | 106 |
Skilled Worker Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) Option Stream | 106 |
International Graduate Stream | 109 |
International Graduate EEBC Option Stream | 109 |
Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Stream | 87 |
In the second draw specific professions were targeted. This draw was exclusive to the Skilled Worker International Graduate Stream, which includes the Express Entry British Columbia option.
30 Invitations To Apply (ITAs) were received by early childhood educators and assistants who had a CRS cut-off score of 60, 30 ITAs were received by healthcare professionals with a CRS cut-off score of 60, at least 4 ITAs were received by other priority occupations (specifically Veterinarians), animal health technologists and veterinary technicians in the latest draw with a minimum CRS score of 60.
Manitoba
On July 28, Manitoba held three different draws across separate streams. To candidates with a minimum CRS score of 633, 299 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued by Skilled Worker in the Manitoba stream, the LAAs are the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) equivalent of an ITA. 15 LAAs were issued to candidates in the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream and 41 LAAs were issued to candidates in the International Education Stream, who had a minimum CRS score of 726.
In total, 354 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued. 56 LAAs out of 354 were issued to the candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile, likely indicating these are enhanced nominations.
