Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued new Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the latest Express Entry round.
This time, IRCC issued 400 ITAs specifically for candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 547 required, marking the highest score for CEC draws this year.
The previous draw occurred on November 12 and invited 733 candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Today’s draw, the second in November, aligns with Canada’s Immigration Levels Plan for 2025, which targets 124,680 admissions through Express Entry.
The successful candidates from today’s draw will count toward the 2025 admissions, either under the new In-Canada Focus targets or within the Federal Economic Priorities category. The In-Canada Focus goal aims for 82,980 permanent residents, prioritizing temporary residents currently living in Canada, which will contribute to around 40% of economic immigration in 2025.
Many successful candidates will come from the CEC or PNP streams, while the Federal Economic Priorities target of 41,700 will include candidates from all Express Entry-managed programs. This group will address critical labor gaps, particularly in healthcare, trades, and French-language proficiency among newcomers outside Quebec.

Overview of Express Entry?
Express Entry is Canada’s main platform for managing applications for permanent residency across three economic immigration programs:
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
Candidates in these programs are assessed under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which scores applicants based on factors like age, occupation, language skills, education, and work experience. Additional points may be awarded for family connections in Canada, immigrating with a spouse, or holding a combination of Canadian and foreign qualifications or experience.
Candidates with a PNP nomination receive an additional 600 CRS points, greatly enhancing their chances of receiving an ITA. Ultimately, those with the highest CRS scores are most likely to receive an invitation in upcoming Express Entry draws, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
