New Policy Features
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, in cooperation with Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has announced on Thursday that more Indians will qualify for visas on arrival in the UAE.
The visa on arrival is also provided to the Indian citizens who carry tourist visas issued for the UK or EU; this facility is an extension of the earlier practice whereby only persons with US tourist or residence visas, alongside those having residency in the UK and EU were allowed.
- Though the e-visa facility will continue to be available for other Indian passport holders.
- Eligible Indians can now obtain a 60-day visa at 250 Dirhams, or about ₹5,700.
- This could make the UAE stopovers a little easier for Indians on the way to the UK or US.
