British Columbia Welcomes Entrepreneurs
British Columbia focused on attracting foreign entrepreneurs who have either started a new business or taken over an existing one in the province. Invitations were issued through two streams under its Entrepreneur Immigration category.
Details of British Columbia’s Draw (March 14 – 21)
On March 18, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) held a draw under its Entrepreneur Immigration stream, inviting candidates through both the Base and Regional categories.
- Base Stream: 8 candidates were invited, with a minimum required score of 115. Selection was based on factors such as business viability, economic contribution, and human capital.
- Regional Stream: Fewer than five invitations were issued to entrepreneurs who had been referred by participating communities. A minimum score of 123 was needed for eligibility.

PEI’s latest draw prioritized individuals already residing and working in the province, particularly in sectors crucial to its economic growth.

On March 20, the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) conducted a draw through its Labour Impact and Express Entry pathways, issuing a total of 124 invitations.
The province’s focus remains on candidates who have been living and working in PEI for at least a year. Key industries that received priority include:
- Healthcare
- Trades
- Manufacturing
Both provinces continue to use their PNP programs to address local labor market needs and attract skilled individuals who can contribute to their economies.
