Australia and India are further strengthening ties with the new Mobility Arrangement for Talented Early-professionals Scheme, or MATES, being introduced from late 2024.
There, graduates and young professionals from the best Universities of India can apply to the MATES stream of Temporary Work (International Relations) visa, Subclass 403, which will stay in Australia for work and living purposes in this country for a period of two years.
It will benefit the business and industrial sector of Australia because it will get them easier access to some of the best-skilled graduates in India with the highly sought knowledge and abilities.
There will be an equal, efficient, and transparent way of choosing participants in MATES through the visa preapplications vote for the annual allocation of 3,000 temporary visa places.
The new temporary mobility option, MATES, allows Indian nationals to work in Australia and gain experience in their chosen fields of competence.
These include mining, engineering, artificial intelligence, financial technology, mining, renewable energy, and agricultural technology.
