400 candidates were invited by IRCC in the seventh Express Entry draw of December. It was a category-based draw for candidates in agriculture occupations.
A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 386 was required to be eligible for an ITA. This draw follows six others in December.
With a minimum CRS score of 561, candidates were invited to the First Express Entry Draw Since October 2023 which was Held by Canada on December 6. After that, a category-based draw was held for French-speaking candidates in which 1000 Express Entry Candidates were Invited by IRCC on 7 December with a minimum CRS score of 470. With a minimum CRS score of 481 points in a category-based selection draw for STEM occupations, 5900 Candidates Were Invited in Third Express Entry Draw of this month on 8 December.
On 18 December, with a minimum CRS score of 542 points, 1325 Candidates Were Invited to the Latest All Program Express Entry Draw. On December 19, 1000 Candidates Were Invited in the Category-Based Selection Draw, the second category-based draw for trades occupations this year was held. A draw such as this was held on August 3 in which 1500 candidates were invited.
There was a long indefinite pause in Express Entry draws since October 2023, after that all these draws in December took place. IRCC provided no rigid confirmation for the reason for the pause. On November 14, as per the tweet of IRCC, an IT issue happened with the Express Entry profile builder for candidates who had received an ITA and were trying to upload their final application on the website of IRCC but it was fixed soon on November 16. Even after that, the draws did not resume immediately as expected.
There is a delay in the Express Entry draws for many possible reasons, such as IT issues, updates to the Comprehensive Ranking System, staffing changes, etc.
