4300 ITAs are issued by IRCC in the fifteenth Express Entry draw of 2023. This was the second draw in this month, following the draw on June 8.
A Cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 486 was required by the candidates.
The earlier draw of June 8 invited 4800 candidates to the all-program draw with a minimum CRS cut-off score of 486.
82 Occupations are Eligible for Category-Based Selection
There are six new categories under which IRCC would begin holding draws for Express Entry candidates, later this summer.
Healthcare, transport, strong French abilities, agriculture, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions, trades, such as plumbers, contractors and carpenters, and agriculture are the categories which were mentioned.
Express Entry Canada candidates will receive Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with either the required language or work experience in selected occupations within these new categories, in these new draws.
A large share of overall occupations includes Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) occupations. If immigration applicants in the Express Entry pool have work experience within any of the listed occupations, he/she is eligible for an ITA.
People with high CRS scores have a higher probability to receive an ITA which shows that CRS scores are still relevant. The newly selected categories are based on the discussions with the territories, provinces, and other stakeholders as stated by IRCC.
In the annual report to parliament, IRCC also includes the results of draws and their success. Categories can change on an annual basis as stated by the department.
