Five provinces held draws from May 13 to 19. Provinces namely were British Columbia, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and PEI.
There are certain economic immigration candidates, that Canadian provinces feel have the ability to integrate themselves into the workforce and establish themselves economically within the province. Except for Quebec and Nunavut, all Canadian provinces and territories are permitted to select such candidates that they find suitable.
Provincial Nominee Program was established in 1998 and it has been a significant success, which is why it is now the most important pathway for admissions of economic immigrants in the Immigration Levels Plan.
The draws can be held as infrequently or frequently as required by the provincial governments. Provided that the number of invitations allocated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is not to be exceeded by the province, there is no cap on the number of Provincial Nominee Program candidates invited in each draw.
