589 invitations were issued in Express Entry PNP Only draw held on 10 May 2023, it is the twelfth Express Entry draw of 2023.
691 was the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that was required by the candidates. If a Provincial nomination is received by candidates who are already in the Express Entry pool, it grants them 600 additional CRS scores. This draw was the 4th Provincial Nominee Program Specific draw of 2023.
In the last Express Entry PNP-Only draw held on 1 March, 667 candidates were invited. Since then, candidates from all the Express Entry programs have been considered in all draws.
Changes Bought By IRCC in Proof of Funds
Express Entry candidates must have access to a certain amount of money so that they can sustain themselves during their stay in Canada. The proof to demonstrate this type of money is known as proof of funds. IRCC has made some changes in the amount of money that is needed to be demonstrated by the newcomers to settle in Canada.
Proof of funds is not required for:
- Express Entry candidates who are holding a valid job offer to work in Canada.
- Candidates in Canadian Experience Class
- Candidates in Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Candidates in Federal Skilled Trades Program
Candidates must update their profiles to reflect that they still have the required amount for settlement funds so that they can stay eligible for Express Entry. The proof of funds has always been updated by IRCC on a yearly basis.
What is the Pattern of Express Entry So Far in 2023?
This latest draw was followed by the Express Entry draw Held by IRCC to Invite Another 3,500 Candidates on 26 April with a CRS cut-off score of 483. IRCC invited 3,500 candidates on 12 April, with a CRS cut-off score of 486.
More than 21,000 candidates were invited by IRCC over four consecutive draws. 7,000 candidates were invited by three of the draws and the number of candidates per draw became half as compared to what was seen over March.
The second-highest number of candidates in the history of Express Entry Canada were invited in March. Invitation to Apply (ITA) was received by 27,332 CEC candidates on February 2021, and it was the only draw to exceed the draw mentioned previously.
Express Entry draws have been returned to their normal schedule as marked in April, as they used to typically occur every second week on Wednesdays, until late 2022, and throughout March 2023. Throughout January and February this year, most draws for the Provincial Nominee Program were program-specific. For the Federal Skilled Workers Program, IRCC held the first-ever program-specific draw on February 2.
