Canada Express Entry is an online system used by the Canadian government to organize and process immigration applications from skilled and qualified workers. It is the fastest and most popular pathway to obtaining permanent residency. Allowing immigrants to start a new life, Canada welcomes over a million skilled workers through a highly effective ‘Express Entry’ Program each year.
Here is a checklist of Canada Express Entry Step-by-Step Instructions:
Before checking your eligibility, you need to make sure that your work experience (as the NOC system defines it) is eligible for the Canada Express Entry System.
Here you will be provided certain guidelines and assistance on how you can find the right NOC. It should match your current and/or previous work experience. As well, you can verify the Skill Type or Level (0, A, B, C, or D) of your NOC. Thus, it will confirm whether you are eligible for the Express Entry System.
In this step, getting your foreign (and not Canadian) educational credential evaluated is of utmost importance. It will be assessed by one of the third parties approved by IRCC.
To begin with, you will know what exactly an ECA is. You will also know what all ECA service providers (IRCC approved) are. You can better understand their offerings with a thorough comparison between these providers. Also, expect thorough guidance on how to get your ECA carried out. You can expect to receive an explanation on how to decipher your ECA results.
Taking English and/or French test(s) and scoring a number of points is of utmost importance and mandatory. These tests will confirm your eligibility for any of the three Express Entry programs.
P.S – You can check out the 4 tests (approved by IRCC) that you can take and how you can prepare yourself for these tests. As well, you can check out how you can convert your test results into Express Entry points.
There are eligibility requirements for each of the three economic immigration programs under Canada Express Entry. You need to ensure that you are eligible for at least one of the three programs.
Next, you need to find out what the eligibility requirements for each program are. Also, find out details of other requirements, including proof of funds. This step plays a vital role, as you will not be able to get into the pool of candidates if you are not eligible.
You need to interpret how to calculate your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This score is used to rank you within the Canada Express Entry pool.
Learn with our meticulous tables how you should go about calculating your CRS score. You will need to take your language test(s) and have ECA results so your exact CRS score can be calculated. However, you can guess your language proficiency and ECA results to reach a CRS score.
After you have taken your language test(s) and got your ECA (if your credential is not Canadian), you will have to verify your eligibility through the Come to Canada Tool. Now you will have to generate your Canada Express Entry profile to get into the pool of candidates.
Do you have enough CRS points? If you do, then you will surely get an ITA (an acronym for Invitation to Apply). You will be given 60 days so you can fill out additional forms followed by the submission of your supporting documents.
Learning about what an ITA is will benefit you immensely. Get to know what it looks like. Learn about how you can receive one. At last, explore the number of options you have to respond to the ITA.
Have you received an ITA (Invitation to Apply)? Now you need to upload the requested supporting documents. Before uploading them, ensure that you do not face any difficulties gathering them.
Check out all the details of every (required) document you need to provide. Now, who is going to upload the documents – you, your partner/spouse, and/or your dependent children? You must know about the electronic format each document will be in, and how each of them will be organized.
Have you submitted your documents? The next step is to find out about the approval process of your application and the diverse updates that will give you an idea of where your application is at.
Learn about how much you will need to pay for application submission, how to understand your status update table in your Canada Express Entry profile, and comprehend the steps the application processing goes through.
Before you make a touchdown, learn everything you need to about Canada, its biggest cities, and its healthcare and education systems. Make sure you have a to-do list to prepare for the big moving day, how to bring your pet along, and more.
