1,325 candidates were invited to the latest all-program Express Entry draw by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
A minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) score of 542 was required to be eligible for an ITA. This draw followed the latest results from December 8, 5900 Candidates Were Invited in Third Express Entry of the Week. This draw was for candidates in STEM occupations with a minimum CRS score of 481.
1000 Express Entry candidates Were Invited by IRCC on 7 December in a category-based draw for individuals with French language proficiency. Candidates required a minimum CRS score of 470 to receive an invitation. The First Express Entry Draw Since October 2023 was Held by Canada on December 6. It was an all-program draw in which candidates required a minimum CRS score of 561. Earlier than that, IRCC Held Three Express Entry Draw in the Third Week of October.
The reason of the temporary pause was not confirmed by IRCC. The department tweeted about an IT issue glitch on 14th November which was going on with the Express Entry profile builder for the candidates who had received an ITA and were trying to upload their final application to the website of IRCC. Two days later on November 16, it was reported by the department that the glitch was fixed but draws did not resume immediately.
Many possible reasons are there for IRCC to delay the Express Entry draws, such as staffing changes, IT issues, or updates to the Comprehensive Ranking System.
