1000 candidates were invited in the category-based selection draw for trades occupations by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 425 was required by the candidates to be eligible for an ITA. Earlier than that, 1325 Candidates Were Invited to the Latest All Program Express Entry Draw which was conducted on December 18. A cut-off CRS score of 542 was needed by the candidates to be considered in this draw.
IRCC also invited candidates in the three consecutive draws that occurred last week. The First Express Entry Draw Since October Was Held by Canada on December 6. It was an all-program draw in which 4,750 candidates were invited with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 561.
1000 Express Entry Candidates Were Invited by IRCC on 7 December, this draw was conducted for French-speaking candidates with a minimum CRS score of 470 points. 5900 Candidates Were Invited in the Third Express Entry Draw of the Week which was held on December 8. It was a category-based selection draw for candidates in STEM occupations with a minimum CRS score of 481 points.
The Express Entry draws took a pause temporarily as the department tweeted about an IT issue glitch on November 14. The reason for the temporary pause is still not clear as the IRCC declared on November 16 that the glitch has been fixed but did not immediately resume the draws as expected at that time. There may be more possibilities as to why IRCC did not continue the draw such as they are already on track to meet targets for Express Entry candidates set out in the Immigration Levels Plan, staffing changes, updates to the Comprehensive Ranking System, or IT issues.
With changing patterns of Express Entry, it may be tough to keep track of irregularly occurring draws and the eligibility criteria. This is where Oasis Visas comes into the picture, Consult With Us and make your immigration process easier than ever.
